Custom 1911 .45ACP
These are pictures of the custom 1911 .45ACP I built my dad for Christmas. It is based on a Caspian frame and slide that I had to hand fit together. All the various parts on it are also hand fit. The hardest and scariest part was cutting the frame to fit the high ride beaver tail. It shoots better than he does.

These were taken by my father during the time period of 67-68 when he was with the 170th AHC and the 57th AHC. At times he flew missions for MACV/SOG.

Safari at Brookfield Zoo
These pictures were taken at Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago, Illinois on August 8, 2003. Of the 7 rolls of film I used (Kodak Max400 and Kodak High Definition 400) these made the cut. Not all of them are perfect pictures but I like them and hope you will too. All of these were handheld or braced using a Nikon N80 with a Sigma 70-300mm zoom lens and a Quantaray X2 tele converter. I also used a Nikon SB-50DX Speedlight Flash on pictures where I was allowed too. Alot of my indoor pictures didn't show up because of the long exposure time and I can't hold the camera that long. To remedy that I am going to buy a lighter tripod or monopod.
I hope you have as much fun looking at these pictures as I did taking them. The pouring rain didn't even stop me I just bought an overpriced umbrella.
